About the Course

Our AET course is 1-2 days long and introduces you to the basic principles of teaching. This course aims to increase confidence and encourage teachers to be more engaging with learners.

This course is CPD accredited

The course is designed to help you to teach anything your are qualifed in within your sector e.g. beauty, builder, printers, dance instructor etc

Course Content:

The AET Course consists of 3 units:

- Unit A: Understanding roles and responsibilities and in education and training, including inclusive teaching and learning approaches in education and training.

- Unit B: Facilitate learning and development for individuals and groups.

- Unit C: Understanding assessment in education and training, including principles and practices of assessment.


You will learn the following skills:

- Roles and responsibilities

- Evaluation

- Planning, delivery and evaluation

-l lesson planing

- How to motivate learners

- Keeping a safe learning environment

- How to deal with problems


Assessments:

To obtain your Level 3 Award In Education & Training, you will need to successfully complete the assessment at the end of your theory session.

The AET Training Course is assessed by a practical exam (micro teach session) and write up of how to teach assessment.

- Practical assessment: you will be required to conduct a 30 minutes classroom session on a subject of your choice on the first day of your AET Training Course. This is called "Micro Teach" and will be recorded for assessment purposes. Planning and preparation will be covered as part of the course. Upon completion, you will receive useful feedback from your trainer, and maybe even teach your first student.


- Written assessments: your written assessment will be completed once the theory has been given; followed by your practical assessment and day 2 is an option to shadow one of our educators for tips on teaching skills.


 

Entry Requirements:

There are no set required entry requirements for this course. (However most insurance providers require you to be 18 years of age to teach.) Please note that You are expected to have strong numeracy and literacy skills, as well as access to a computer, in order to submit assessed coursework.

Emma Marriott

Emma has been teaching for 17 years and has trained thousands of people in the UK as well as internationally.
She has won many awards and is part-owner of another academy that was one of the first schools in Nottinghamshire to offer training in aesthetics for non-medics!
Emma has been doing beauty since the age of 16 so she has many, many years’ worth of knowledge to pass on.
Emma has also been nursing for years until she decided to give that up recently due to focusing on building the EMZ brand.
Emma is the founder of our 9 franchise branches and owns a medical device company in which she sells high quality, medical grade machines.
Emma specialises in Botox, Dermal Fillers, PDO Threads, and advanced electrolysis.
One of her favourite things to teach is Botox or anything that involves a needle really.
Fun Facts: Emma loves eating cakes. Did you know Emma has 6 children and has over 10 businesses! She is an amazing entrepreneur, and we don’t know where she finds the time!

Keira

Keira is one of our educators and has been qualified in beauty and aesthetics for many years.
Keira has worked alongside the CEO s for many years and has lots of clinic knowledge to give.
Some of Keira's favourite things to teach is: Dermaplaning, B12 Injections and Microneedling
Fun Fact: She loves to be organised and loves to stay hydrated.

Debbie

Emma Marriott

Debbie is one of our educators and has been qualified in beauty and aesthetics
Debbie has worked as a teacher for 10 years, and has lots of clinic knowledge to give.
Some of Debbie's favourite things to teach is: Facials, Massage & Advanced Botox
Fun Fact: She loves a good cup of coffee.

Emma 2

Emma Marriott

Emma 2 is our educator and has over 10 years of experience in the beauty industry.
She teaches Level 2 Beauty, Facials, Eyelashes, Tinting, Waxing, Advanced Facials, and Level 3 Holistic Massage.
Emma 2 has worked closely with our CEO/Founder of Emz Aesthetics for many years, managing her previous clinics, so she has lots of hands-on clinic knowledge to give to you.
Emma carries out clinic dates here at Emz Aesthetics alongside teaching.
One of her favourite things to teach is SPMU Lips!
Fun Fact: Emma 2 loves mcdonalds and has two small children. She has always worked hard and loves to visit her mums farm and travel.
